Lead where you learn
Campus Ambassadors are student volunteers at the heart of UniMinistry Foundation’s work on campus. They bring people together, create welcoming spaces and help make university life richer — for local and international students alike.
You don’t need a title or years of experience to lead. You need a willingness to serve, a little initiative and a genuine care for helping other students belong. We support you with the rest, including mentoring from a team of senior academics and business leaders who have worked for some of Australia’s best-known institutions.
The role
What Ambassadors do
Ambassadors work alongside the UniMinistry team to plan and deliver the moments that build community on campus.
Seminars & Workshops
Help plan and host events on leadership, goal setting, ethics and wellbeing — from shaping the program to welcoming students on the day.
Dinners & Retreats
Create the spaces where friendships form. Ambassadors help organise shared meals, social nights and retreats where students can connect and recharge.
Industry Engagement
Open doors for your peers by helping connect students with professionals, mentors and guest speakers from across Australian industry.

Frequently asked questions
Who can become a Campus Ambassador?
Any current student at an Australian education institution — local or international, undergraduate or postgraduate. UniMinistry Foundation is a non-denominational organisation and everyone is welcome; you don’t need to be religious to get involved.
Do I need previous leadership experience?
No. Ambassadors learn by doing, with support, mentoring and coaching from the UniMinistry team along the way. Enthusiasm, reliability and care for other students matter most.
How much time does it involve?
The role is flexible and designed to fit around your studies. You’ll work with our team to choose the events and activities that suit your timetable.
Is this a paid position?
Campus Ambassador is a volunteer role. In return, you receive mentoring, leadership experience, a supportive community and a reference letter from UniMinistry Foundation recognising your contribution.
